Striking flowers in vibrant yellows and easily grown. Manageable dwarf strain with height of only 12-24 inches, generating significant fibrous vegetation for valuable humous production after digging in.
Sow at rate of about 2g per square yard (areas given in variable listings are corrected for square metres).
Excellent means of clearing and renovating rough ground. Relatively large seeds can cope with germinating in less than a perfect tilth, if reasonable care is taken to sow about half an inch deep in firmed and watered soil. These plants will provide a substantial bulk of plant material to improve soil organic matter content, while offering profitable landscape visual amenity and much appreciated insect pollinator fodder. A smaller packet is offered for gardeners wanting to produce these attractive blooms in the flower bed.
