White Borage (Borago officinalis) seeds

2g Approx. 130 seeds

Valued for its attractive and less common white Borage flowers and much loved by pollinators, Borage is best sown in early spring or autumn. Sow the seeds in biodegradable pots or seed trays, or where they are to flower. Plant out or thin the seedlings to 12-18 inches apart when big enough to handle. Wait until the plants have at least two sets of true leaves and the outdoor temperature is consistently above 10 degrees C before planting hardened-off indoor germinated plants outside. Care for the plants by keeping the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells, and pinching back the tips to encourage bushier growth and more flowers.

The flowers are edible and valued for adding colour to  cold salads and similar. Also used to add interest to various drinks like gin and tonic, and cocktails.
